Quick review: I was caught off guard by these vegan dogs from Sweet Earth; a plant-based label that I have to confess has given me more misses than hits. Not here though, these veggie dogs offer up everything I’m looking for – a smooth emulsified texture and billowy smoke flavor. Perfect for a cookout. Actually speaking of that…
The firm texture means these will hold up to a range of cooking methods. The packaging reckons you can happily grill these – I wouldn’t argue with that. I air fried them which was possibly a little excessive, crisping the exterior and drying it out a little too much. For me, these are a solid meat free dog, better than most, with little to no weird after taste.
