Quick review: Frankly I went into this one expected disappointment. After all, pepperoni, surely this of all dishes is hard to emulate?! Consider me pleasantly surprised then this meat-free replacement is actually rather delicious. The signature pepperoni flavor profile is there, a salty smack followed by a garlicky-smoky hit. I should note that the wheat gluten base of these veggie based slices does then come through, when sampled on their own. For my money, load these up on a vegan pizza and the overall assemblage of flavors – you’ll be hard pressed to really spot the difference. If you needed any more convincing, I actually found myself snack on these direct from the fridge slice by slice, then I realized I had ran out before I got to use them in an actual dish…
