The star of the show here is the home made corn bread. The corn meal based side dish is one of the few ways we know of to sneak a piece of cake onto your plate and genuinely claim you’re just eating dinner! You can find our ultra simple corn bread recipe here.
Rounding out this plate are some home made BBQ beans that go perfectly with corn bread; just simmer some pinto beans with ketchup, mustard, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and coriander and boom – perfection. Tweak as needed of course.
Also making an appearance, some air fried chicken pieces, sliced cucumber in lime juice and salt plus a couple of my favorite hot sauces.
