Knock the socks of the chili lover in your life with this unique, curated hot sauce gift set. Fuego Box was created by a guy who began down a path that will be familiar to many:
it started with an early Tapatío obsession and advanced with the likes of Cholula, Crystal, and Sriracha. After that, things really got crazy… bhut jolokia and african fatalii peppers; locally harvested, hand-bottled hot sauces; and unique and delicious flavors that go with just about every kind of food
In a nutshell, Fuego Box wants to bring emerging hot sauces that you’ve probably never heard of to your hot sauce shelf (you have one, right?). No need for you to go down the hot sauce rabbit hole; we already took the trip and came back with some damn fine sauces. We always focus on flavor over ‘ass-burning heat’ and avoid gimmicky hot sauces like the plague. So go ahead, place an order and get ready for the world’s best hot sauces to come a-knockin’!
Fuego Box grew from that love all things hot sauce and now offers a range of gifts that will blow the minds (should that be tastebuds?) of like minded folks. I’m a capsaicin lover myself and Fuego Box happily provided a sample box for us to test. I can’t speak highly enough about what we received: three bottles came neatly packed in an eye catching, sturdy cardboard box, plus a small tasting book is provided too – should you order more sauces and need to take notes. Our advice there: do.
The sample we received contained that particular month’s delivery to regular users of the Fuego Box service – and we happily found it contained more than flame and fire. The three sauces provided were in fact nuanced and unique and a joy to taste. A bottle of Born To Hula was packed full of the earthy smokiness of ancho chili while Frankie Vs Spooky White was completely different – possessing a sharp citrusy zing from white and orange habaneros. And yes, they all had a suitable spicy kick in the rear too!
Fuego Box recommend giving the gift of hot sauce as a repeating subscription, delivering three bottles per month. The longer you sign up for, the cheaper things get:
$29.95 – one time, single box
$86.85 – a three month suscription
$167.70 – six month subscription
The site also offers a single bottle subscritpopn and the eye popping Spicy Box Of Awesome ($54.95) picture right at the top of this page – arriving in a limited edition rustic wood crate packed with small-batch spicy greatness.
Fuego Box also runs an online hot sauce store too where you can snag single bottles of the good stuff, if there’s something in particular you have your eye on. Editors note: keep this stuff out of your eyes!
