All the promise of your favorite sports bar, from the convenience of your own freezer. Therein lies the promise of this hefty sack of precooked wings from chicken-experts Tyson.
Cooking: This product is pre-cooked, which means you are simply reheating them to serve (see below). The packaging advises microwaving, baking and grilling – cooking from frozen. Anytime I see baking instructions I reach for the air fryer, which I used to create the wings you see below. I shudder at the thought of microwave something like this, I’d probably avoid that.
Taste and texture: Good, but not great. The wings are pre-sauced, but its a lighter touch. If you’re craving that bright and zesty smack to the face, be sure to being some extra buffalo sauce to proceedings. The wings themselves are fine, there’s nothing particular noteworthy in either positive or negative column. I’ve had much worse from bars, and far better results from cooking my own from scratch.
Overall: For a reach into the freezer and dig in dish – these are more than fine – and scratch the itch. They’re not going to win awards for worlds best wing, but that’s not really why you bought these is it?
